Recently, we teamed up with the Atalaya Elementary School in Santa Fe to introduce hydroponics into their school programs. Volunteer and parent, Anna Pollock spearheaded this project to bring soil-less growing to the students. Supported by a grant from Farm to Table, they commissioned Desert Verde Farm to design and build two multi-channel nutrient film technique (NFT) growing systems for the production of lettuce, herbs and bok choi at the school. Students will participate by planting seeds and raising mature plants.

We are delighted by this opportunity and wish everyone at the school every success in raising healthy plants while learning how to grow their own food indoors.
